Open day duck decoy in Het Pompveld

until June 6

The duck decoy in Natura 2000 area Het Pompveld opens the decoy, which is normally not accessible and can only be visited once every two years during an open day.

Divided over the day, the decoyman, foresters and volunteers will give tours of the area. The last tour starts at 2:30 p.m. Children can also go ditch fishing. Coffee, tea, lemonade and a hamburger sandwich are available at the decoy house.

Sturdy walking shoes or boots are recommended, especially after rain. In good weather, a small tractor and flat cart will drive between the parking lot and the cage. In bad weather, this will not take place because the trails will be too wet.

The route and the open day are not wheelchair accessible. A restroom is available at the decoy house; no sign-up is required. Visitors park at Midgraaf 27 in Babyloniënbroek and then follow the arrows to the duck decoy. That's about a 15- to 20-minute walk on clay paths.
