In this area where fish find their nursery and (sea) eagles circle around, you will cycle through the tidal area under the guidance of an expert.
Water safety comes first, but since the completion of this Room for the Rivers project (called Noordwaard), nature has been given free rein. If you give water space, nature will naturally follow. An area that for fish is a swim-by (resting, spawning, growing and nursery area) and for birds a table-deck.
Imposing species such as the osprey and the bald eagle hunt and live here, and of course you will also go in search of these impressive eagles. In this way you will discover the unique dynamics of the Noordwaard.
The tour starts with a 20-minute presentation in the film room of the Biesbosch MuseumEiland. Then you get on your bike for a two-hour bike ride.
