Zevenban Boezem
Near Fort Altena, between the casemates, lies the Zevenbansche Boezem which is used to store excess polder water.
The boezem stores excess polder water, and is also set up as an ecological connecting zone. The casemates have an ecological function: they are equipped as a hibernation place for bats. But the dome casemate is reserved as a bird-watching shelter for birdwatchers.
