Several ferries operate in the watery area around Woudrichem and the Biesbosch. Below is an overview of the departure times of ferry services in the municipality of Altena.

Sailing times
From February 15, 2025 to October 31, 2025.
All days from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.

In November and December
All Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.

't Koffiehûske is open from early April to early November 2025.

Foot and bicycle ferry between Lage Zwaluwe and National Park the Biesbosch.

April to September 2025
Daily from 10:00 - 13:15 and 14:00 - 17:40.

Last sailing
Lage Zwaluwe: 5:20 p.m.
Biesbosch: 5:40 p.m.

Consult the facebook page for different sailing times. The sailing time of a crossing is about 15 minutes. So if the ferry has just left, you can join it half an hour later.

Single ferry rates
Adults €5,50, children up to 12 years €3,- and bicycle trailers €1,-.
Payment is only possible via PIN.

Bike and foot ferry across the Steurgat between Oostwaard and Noordwaard.

Pontje Steur begins sailing on April 25. In May they only sail on weekends (including holidays). From June through September they sail daily. All sailing days are from 10:00 - 18:00.
The fare is €1.50 per person. Payment is cash only.

Car, bicycle and foot ferry between Dussen and Sprang-Capelle.

The Capelse ferry sails on supply of traffic. Thus, there is no fixed timetable. Even for one user, whether on foot or with a means of transportation, the skipper sets the crossing.

Summer time from March 1 to October 31:
Monday through Friday from 06:00 - 22:00 hours.
Saturday and Sunday from 07:00 - 22:00 hours

Winter hours from Nov. 1 to Feb. 28/29:
Monday through Friday from 07:00 - 19:00 hrs.
Saturday and Sunday from 08:00 - 19:00 hours

Around Christmas and New Year's Eve and on holidays, the ferries have modified times.

Motorized traffic must pay for the crossing. So cars, vans, motorcycles, etc. must buy a ticket. For cars and motorcycles, you pay €2.70. Motorhome drivers pay €3.50. The crossing is free for cyclists and hikers.

The Drongelense ferry operates on supply of traffic. Thus, there is no fixed timetable. Even for one user, whether on foot or by means of transportation, the skipper sets the crossing.
