Within an hour you travel from the Biesboschlinie to Dordrecht, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Breda, Tilburg and Den Bosch. Head out for a day of shopping in Dutch or Brabant atmospheres, or a cultural outing.
The Efteling
Doesn't the canoe swing wild enough? The Efteling is quickly and easily accessible even by bike via two free ferries. Are you a real roller coaster fan, or do you prefer to dream away in the fairytale forest?
Glass Museum Leerdam
From Gorinchem, take the route along the Linge River towards Leerdam to visit the glassworks and glass museum in Leerdam. The perfect combination of nature and culture! Or go by bike, and combine culture with a sporty day out.
Loonse and Drunense Dunes
Across the Bergsche Maas is National Park the Loonse and Drunense Dunes. Here you will find large expanses of sand - not for nothing the park is also called the Brabant Sahara. But there is also plenty of heath and forest, where you can hike, horseback ride, bike and mountain bike to the horizon.

Belgium is not far away. In an hour and a half you are in the heart of Antwerp! That's how to make a week in the Biesbosch Line very special! Bruges, Ghent, Brussels or Knokke are also easily accessible and great day trips abroad.
More tips
Silver City Schoonhoven
Visit the gold and silversmith studios and galleries, each with its own specialty. The Dutch Silver Museum is highly recommended, even for children!
Kinderdijk
We hardly notice it, but much of the Netherlands lies up to 7 meters below sea level. With windmills, among other things, we keep our feet dry. In Kinderdijk you will find nineteen authentic windmills from the eighteenth century. In winter you can skate past the windmills.
Sea View
Although there are many beaches along the rivers here, a day at the sea is also wonderful in all seasons. Hoek van Holland, for example! You're there in an hour. Grab a herring and take a refreshing dip, while a warm bed awaits you.
Lordship Mariënwaerdt
This family estate is open to the public. There are walking and cycling routes along monumental homesteads, haystacks and flood barns, among other things. Mariënwaerdt consists largely of fields, meadows, orchards and vegetable gardens.
