Het Pompveld Nature Reserve and Educational Park
The Pompveld is a nature reserve between Andel and Babyloniënbroek, featuring a historic duck decoy. In addition to hiking, children can play and explore in the educational park, which features water, climbing structures, and nature elements.
Het Pompveld is a unique 239-hectare nature reserve that was spared from land consolidation. The Pompveld lies higher than the surrounding area and is kept wet through drainage. The duck decoy in Het Pompveld is only accessible on the open house day, which is held every other year. The walking trail around the perimeter, however, is accessible year-round. The duck decoy can also be viewed by appointment.
For families, there’s the Brabants Landschap educational park, where children can discover nature through play. Climb over stepping stones, pump water, balance on tree trunks, build huts out of branches, and use a dip net to explore the creatures living in the water. An ideal place to play, learn, and experience nature.
