Het Pompveld Nature Reserve and Educational Park

The Pompveld is a unique nature reserve located between Andel and Babyloniënbroek. The area covers approximately 239 hectares and consists of wetlands, meadows, and woods. In the center of the area lies a historic duck decoy. The Pompveld was largely preserved during the major land consolidation project and is therefore a valuable piece of nature and landscape.

The area lies higher than the surrounding terrain and is kept wet through drainage. As a result, unique plants thrive here, and various species of birds and other animals call it home.

Hiking in Het Pompveld

The walking trail around the Pompveld is accessible year-round. Stroll through the rural landscape and enjoy the peace and open space. The historic duck decoy is not always accessible, but can be visited during the special open house. It’s also possible to tour the duck decoy by request.

Educational Park for Children

Near Het Pompveld is an educational park run by Brabants Landschap. Here, children can discover nature through play. They can climb over stepping stones, pump water, balance on logs, build huts, and use a dip net to explore what lives in the water.

Tip: Bring a dip net and wear clothes that can get dirty or wet.
