Cycling in the Biesbosch Line

Cycling for miles with the wind in your hair? The Biesboschlinie is the place to be. The region offers a combination of vast nature, cultural heritage and special stories. Whether you are an avid cyclist or just like to stop along the way for a picnic or beautiful view: here you will find everything for a perfect bike ride.

Cycling along the Dutch Waterline

In the Biesboschlinie you will find UNESCO world heritage: four forts, two locks, several casemates and a fortified town of the Hollandse Waterlinies are located in this area. You can visit all but one of them. And what better way to do that than by bicycle?

Climb into the saddle and take a bike ride past Fort Altena, Fort Bakkerskil, the Papsluis and fortified town Woudrichem. As icing on the cake, cross the river with the foot ferry from Woudrichem to Poederoijen in Gelderland to visit Slot Loevestein.
