Biesbosch–Werkendam Canoe Route
This special canoe route takes you through the “new nature”—where old agricultural polders have been returned to the river and now flow with the tide.
It is precisely this dynamic nature that makes the route challenging. You might just find yourself having to carry your canoe over bridges during high water. Along this route, you’ll come across beaver tracks everywhere, and who knows—in the early hours, you might even spot a beaver itself.
