The buffalo mozzarella sandwich of the Verschure Family from Wijk en Aalburg consists of a crusty sourdough roll (white or multigrain) with buffalo mozzarella, organic pesto and organic lettuce and tomato.

A crispy sourdough bread with aged cheese from De Lange Hoeve from Genderen, combined with organic arugula, (organic) sun-dried tomato, (organic) pesto and toasted pine nuts.

De Lange Hoeve's cheese is artisanally made with milk from its own cows. In the cheese dairy, the milk is given time to turn into characterful cheeses with a full, rich flavor. The cream brie sandwich consists of a crispy sourdough bread with delicious cream brie and pear jam from Peren & Patrijzen from Andel. The pear jam is made from local pears, carefully processed into a sweet jam that goes perfectly with the soft brie.

In the nature-inclusive pear orchard, they are investing in watering holes, hiding places and food for the wild partridge. If the partridge is happy, so are many other animals. The partridge can regularly be found in the orchard in Andel. Our volunteer Lianne took a look in the orchard, check out her report on Instagram.
