Gerard & Suus, formerly Bakkerij Hardeman, is an organic bakery in Wijk en Aalburg, founded in 1996. Gerard Hardeman, with 45 years of experience, and Suus have been baking organic bread from the very beginning using pure ingredients and long fermentation times. They use exclusively Dutch organic grains, often ground at the windmill De Twee Gebroeders, and avoid additives such as E numbers and bread improvers. In addition to their regular assortment, they offer gluten-free bread made from pseudo-grains such as buckwheat and quinoa. Their almond paste is homemade, resulting in unique products such as filled cookies and Christmas wreaths.
